The Mission

Runabout started with one simple goal: connect with people. Coffee has a remarkable way of doing that — it's a ritual, a conversation starter, a reason to slow down for a moment. After working as a barista in Charleston, South Carolina, where the coffee shop community runs deep, and later managing a café back home in Massachusetts, and most recently working at a roastery, Liz has seen many sides of the industry. What's always been at the center of it? The people.

The Boat

Runabout Coffee is a nautical themed mobile cafe, operating along the Southcoast of Massachusetts and beyond. Similar to a mobile food trailer, the Runabout can go anywhere! Any special event, pop up, farmers market, you name it and we can be there! Equipped with the best commercial coffee gear on the market, and sourcing local freshly baked pastries, the Runabout is a fully functioning coffee shop on wheels.

"I thought for many months about the design of my coffee trailer. One thing I've known from the beginning is I want to be standing on the ground, eye level with the people I'm serving. So instead of buying a cart or a trailer, I found an old project boat and started converting it — hull, deck, and all — into a mobile café. The result is something that will get people talking, maybe makes some folks laugh, and hopefully will add a little fun to your day or special event."
